BE A LIGHT | 2020
YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
You may be wondering, after seeing our mural, why these 4 men are featured on our wall. The answer is simple. They were influential in bringing people together in their own way. Of course, there are HUNDREDS of people that we could have filled the entire wall with but we have chosen these 4 men to feature on our “Be The Light” mural. Be sure to stop by, take a picture!
As a side note, we were inspired to do this from a song by Thomas Rhett, titled, BE A LIGHT. Although, he is not associated with this mural, we invite you to listen to his song and we hope you are inspired as well to “BE A LIGHT.” [LISTEN TO THE SONG HERE]
JOHNNY CASH
Johnny Cash is one of the most well-known performers this country has ever seen. With over 1500 songs & over 90 million records worldwide, his songs were known for their complete truth and honesty. And so was his activism for peace and social justice as well as his deep beliefs in redemption and forgiveness. Cash knew grace and forgiveness were God’s commands and didn’t take them lightly. He was able to look at his own life, recognizing that he was a sinner and a recipient of grace and mercy from God. Cash may have battled his demons, and his sins magnified by the media, but one thing few could deny was his faith.
Dr. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

Dr. King inspired an entire nation to live up to its potential. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
